Laboratory diagnosis is carried out on the material sent from the field and suspected of infection and, effective and prophylactic control measures are assured on time.
 

Antibiotic sensitivity tests are conducted on the isolated and identified infectious agents and appropriate antibiotics are recommended.
 

The bacteria classified in Enterobactericae family are isolated and identified.
 

Our laboratory is in the “External Quality Assurance System” established by Danish Veterinary Laboratory and WHO.
 

Isolation and identification of bacterial infectious agents in fish and bees are also conducted by our laboratory.
 

Standart diagnostic methods approved by the OIE are  used in our laboratory.
 

National and regional research projects are  conducted in order to eradicate and control specific infectious diseases by taking consideration into the necessities of our country.
 

Being the central veterinary research institute, we give training to the personnel of other seven research institutes located in different regions of Turkey and to other veterinarians in the field.
