Bacteriologic abortus agents of cattle, sheep, goat and equidae are microbiologically and serologically examined in the laboratory.

Aborted materials are cultured on various media to detect Brucellosis, Campylobacteriosis and Salmonellosis, and isolation and identification of bacteria grown on the media are made.

For Chlamydiosis, suspensions prepared from tissue specimens and placenta cotyledons are isolated by inoculation to 6-8 day old embrionated eggs.

Antibodies against Brucellosis in the blood sera of cattle, sheep, goat and men are serologically detected by using Rose Bengal Plate, Milk Ring, Serum Tube Agglutination, Rivanol Agglutination and Complement Fixation Test (CFT).

Antibodies against Salmonallosis in the blood sera of horses, cattle, sheep and goats are serologically detected by using Tube Agglutination Test.

Antibodies against Campylobacteriosis in the blood sera of sheep and goats are serologically detected by using Complement Fixation Test (CFT).

Antiboies against Chlamydiosis in the blood sera of sheep and goats are serologically detected by using Complement Fixation Test (CFT).

Staff training courses are given and researches are carried out.
