After horse races throughout Turkey, blood and urine samples taken from pure Thoroughbred and Arabian horses are subjected to different extraction processes depending on their pharmacologic and chemical structures in the Central Doping Laboratory, and they are analised for doping substances by using Fast Solid Phase Extraction, ELISA, GC-MS, LC-GC-MS-MS and Analitic Liquid Chromotography.

The Central Doping Laboratory is currently member of World Doping Laboratories Federation and in the Asian Countries Laboratories Group.

The Laboratory is also member of Association of Official Racing Chemists (AORC) and standard methods accepted by this association are used in the laboratory.

Extraction methods used in the laboratory and analitic programs (software) are the same those of reference laboratories, and the accreditation of the laboratory is in progress.
