In the laboratory, analyses of pesticides (organic chlorines, organic phosphorus, pyretroids and carbamats) and mycotoxins (Aflatoxin B₁, B₂, G₁ and G₂) are carried out by using chromotographic methods (GC, GC-MS and HPLC). And Aflatoxin analyses by using ELISA and HPLC-Cobracell method.

As a part of National Residue Monitoring Action Plan, pesticides analyses are also carried out.

Qualitative and quantitative analyses of stilbens, steroid hormones, resorcylic acid lactons and Beta-agonists in live animal and animal products are made by using GC-MS technique according to the legislation (96/23/EEC) of the European Union.

The part of hormon analysis of National Residue Monitoring Acting Plan is carried out by this laboratory.

Research related to Poultry Residue Acting Plan is under investigation.

Research on anabolic hormones are conducted and new products are monitored.

In the laboratory, training courses on this issue is given.
